A young Roman aristocrat, spoiled and alcoholic, must face the worst catastrophe Pompeii has ever seen: the eruption of Vesuvius.

Marcus has been educated to rise to the highest levels of the Senate. Still, his thirst for adventure and his rebellion against the status quo presses his father to move up his plans for him and, thus, his wedding.
